• Recently, India was ranked 67th in the Numbeo Safety Index with a score of 55.8. 

• The index, based on public perceptions of crimes like mugging, robbery, harassment, and discrimination, placed Abu Dhabi as the world’s safest city for the ninth year with a score of 88.8. 

• In India, Mangalore emerged as the safest city (score 74.2), while New Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad were ranked among the most unsafe, largely due to safety concerns for women.
