  • Non-Cooperation Movement:

    • Promotion of Khadi (Handspun Cloth): Gandhi advocated for the revival of the Khadi industry as a means of economic self-reliance and resistance against British imports. 

    • Boycott of Foreign Goods: Gandhi called for a boycott of British-manufactured goods and promoted the use of Swadeshi (indigenous) products.

    • Promotion of Village Industries: Gandhi stressed the revival of indigenous village industries like handloom weaving, pottery, and handicrafts, aiming for economic independence through rural empowerment.

    • National Education: Gandhi promoted decentralized education focusing on practical skills and moral values, advocating Nai Talim for self-reliance and social responsibility.

  • Civil Disobedience Movement:

    • Salt Satyagraha: Gandhi and his followers defied the British salt tax by making salt from seawater at Dandi, symbolizing self-rule.

    • Boycott of Government Institutions: Gandhi called for the boycott of government-run institutions, including schools, colleges, and law courts, to protest against unjust British laws and policies.

    • Harijan (Untouchable) Welfare: Gandhi initiated social reforms to uplift marginalized groups, focusing on eradicating untouchability and promoting equal rights, particularly for Dalits (Harijans).

    • Promotion of Swaraj (Self-Rule): Gandhi stressed grassroots Swaraj, advocating local self-government and Swaraj institutions to empower communities and resist British control.
