Several foreigners chose to make India their homeland and played significant roles in the Indian struggle for freedom. Their contributions spanned across various domains, including activism, journalism, education, and social reform.

Annie Besant (British)

  • Theosophical Society: Annie Besant was a prominent member of the Theosophical Society, which she used as a platform to promote Indian self-rule.
