The Republic of India and the Islamic republic of Iran signed "The New Delhi Declaration" in the year 2003.
The main objective of the declaration was to develop infrastructure and regional connectivity between the two countries.
The Objectives of the Declaration includes:
To ensure the economic co-operation with each other
Cooperation in the field of Hydro-Carbon, Science and Technology
Cooperation in the field of IT, education and training
To cooperate with each other for the reconstruction of Afghanistan
To cooperate with each other on the issue of international terrorism
To cooperate with each other in the field of Military cooperation
