India joined in June 2023, making it the 14th member.
The MSP aims to enhance critical mineral supply chains, particularly for clean energy technologies like lithium, cobalt, nickel, and rare earth elements.
It also promotes environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards in the global minerals sector and collaborates on developing a minerals processing facility in South America.
