MANAS, a National Narcotics Helpline, is an initiative by the Narcotics Control Bureau under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
The MANAS will have a toll-free number, 1933, a web portal, a mobile app, and the Umang app.
It provides a secure platform for citizens to report drug trafficking and other illicit activities under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS Act) and related regulations while maintaining the anonymity of informants.
Additionally, citizens can use this platform to seek assistance in preventing drug abuse and for the treatment and rehabilitation of substance users.
MANAS features an Integrated Complaint Redressal System, offering a single platform for logging, monitoring, and registering grievances.
Citizens can share and register information and grievances via calls, email, and the website.
