PolityFSIB STATUTORY BODIES
The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) is set up under the Department of Financial Services for making recommendations for the appointment of full-time directors and non-executive chairperson of State run financial services institutions.
Constituted on 1st July 2022, by replacing the erstwhile Bank Board’s Bureau (BBB).
The FSIB will comprise:
A chairperson nominated by the central government.
The secretaries of the departments of financial services and enterprises.
The chairman of the IRDAI.
Deputy governor of RBI.
3 members with knowledge of banks and other financial institutions with knowledge of insurance.
