Deccan Sultanates
Dakhni language (also known as Deccani Urdu or Deccani Hindi) is an Indo-Aryan language spoken in the Deccan region of south-central India.
Dakhni emerged around the 14th century as a result of interaction between various languages;
Dehlavi (Old Urdu), brought by Muslim rulers, mixed with the regional languages like Marathi, Kannada, and Telugu.This created a unique linguistic blend.
The Deccan Sultanates, particularly the Bahmani Sultanate, played a crucial role in nurturing Dakhni.
Dakhni borrows heavily from languages like Persian, reflecting the historical influence.
Dakhni is a symbol of the rich cultural heritage of the Deccan region and represents the beautiful amalgamation of languages and influences that shaped the region's history.
