CRISPR is a gene editing technology which replicates natural defence mechanisms in bacteria to fight virus attacks.
It also uses a special protein called Cas9.
It also involves the introduction of a new gene, or suppression of an existing gene, via. Genetic engineering.
It will help in correcting the genetic information to cure diseases, prevent physical deformities etc.
