Ethical concerns common to both Government and Private Institutions

  • Favouritism:  Favouritism can be seen in awarding contracts, hiring in jobs, promotion etc. In the long run, it is not advisable for both private and govt institutions as it undermine meritocracy.

  • Data Privacy and Security: Both private and government institutions have the ethical responsibility of safeguarding privacy rights, obtaining informed consent, and ensuring data security 

  • Concern about the reputation of the Organisation: Public trust is inevitable for the efficient working of both private and government institutions. Hence, they tend to cover up the lapses to save the name of the institution. 

  • Sexual Harassment at work place: Ineffective implementation of Protection of Women from Sexual Harassment Act (2013) is seen in both private and government institutions.
