Exercise La Perouse

• The destroyer vessel Indian Naval Ship (INS) Mumbai participated in the fourth edition of the exercise La Perouse.

• Exercise La Pérouse is a biennial, multinational naval exercise that focuses on maritime security in the Indo-Pacific region. 

• The naval exercise is being held in the straits between the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean: Malacca, Sunda and Lombok.

• The exercise is conducted by the French Navy and involves navies from other countries. 

• This includes India, the US, Canada, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, the UK and Singapore
